From the moment a bankruptcy order is made against you, your assets “vest” (belong) to the Trustee in Bankruptcy.
Following a meeting or discussion with the Trustee in Bankruptcy you may be allowed to keep certain assets that are used for your reasonable standard of domestic living or are tools of your trade.
Practically, the Trustee in Bankruptcy will only be interested in assets which have value and will then be used to repay your creditors.
This may include any valuable possessions, jewellery and your car.
